Practice Studio is Kat Walsh’s West End workroom, retail space and gallery, offering clothing alterations and repairs alongside work by emerging Australian designers.
About Practice Studio
Kat Walsh put the idea for Practice Studio into practice in 2019 after studying fashion at QUT and working in costuming. The business began in a small Winn Lane shop before moving through larger spaces and is now based on Vulture Street in West End.
The studio alters and repairs new, second-hand and well-worn clothing, with sewing carried out in-store. It also stocks limited-run garments and accessories by emerging Australian designers, and uses part of the space for exhibitions by designers and artists.
